This is a very cool - and quirky - cake carrier. It looks like it's been refurbished with a metal/aluminum cover and wood base.

The cake carrier has a shallow wood plate and large cover to accommodate a good sized cake. A terrific little stencil appears on the cover and the carrier sports a wire locking handle for safe storing and carrying. Adding to the charm is a vintage glass knob on the cover!

This one was probably painted years ago. It has a nice, aged patina.

With the cover attached, the cake carrier measures 5-inches high. The round wood base measures 13-inches across - a nice size to accommodate a good sized cake.

Lots of shabby chic going on with this carrier - some scrapes and scratches adding to its vintage charm. That said, there are no significant dents or other flaws. The wire locking handle works well, is easy to slide on and off and stays firmly in place
