Guilloché Enamel and Crystal Gold Plated Bug sell Brooch.

A stunning bug brooch, amazingly unsigned but of a quality that would suggest it should be. The gold plated wings have red and green circles of Guilloché enamel surrounded with clear crystals. The body beneath the wings is a beautiful red Guilloché repeated again for the eyes and a further band of green Guilloché finishes the beautiful decoration on this piece. It has a roll over clasp and is in excellent vintage condition.

Guilloché enamelling is a decorative technique in which a very precise, intricate and repetitive pattern is mechanically engraved into a base by a method known as engine turning which is then covered in a fine translucent enamel producing a fine and intricate pattern.

Measurements: 3.5cm in length sell by 2.5cm wide, weighing 24g.
