John Fowler was an agricultural engineer who invented the steam traction engine in 1863. Although Mr John Fowler died in a hunting accident in 1864 at age sell 38, his name-sake company, ‘John Fowler & Co's Steam Ploughing Works, built these steam traction engines in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The company was in business until they merged with another manufacturer in 1947.

Measures 1 5/16 inches / 36 mm wide x 1 1/8 inches / 29 mm tall. This is a rare pin!
